The Pros & Cons Of The Top 3 Cuts Of Red Meat Served At Restaurants

Blog

If you are heading out to your favorite bar and grill, there is a good chance that you are going to want to enjoy some nice red meat. If you have a hard time deciding which type of red meat to enjoy when you go out to your favorite bar and grill, here is a quick rundown of the pros and cons of top three cuts of red meat you are most likely to find on the menu.

Filet Mignon

The filet mignon is often considered one of the best cuts of meat. It is a very tender and soft meat. It can be cooked very simply by just searing it in a pan, and it works really well with a variety of sauces, which is why you often see it paired with different tasty sauces on the menu. The downside to this is that cuts of filet mignon are expensive in the grocery store and even more expensive in a restaurant. The flavor is also more mild than other cuts of red meat, which is why it can pair together so well with creative sauces. This is a good cut of meat to order if you want to enjoy a unique sauce and a tender meat together.

Ribeye

Ribeye cuts also tend to be very tender like filet mignon. Where filet mignon tends to be very thinly, ribeye are usually cut really thick. These cuts of meat are typically an inch or two thick. It can be cooked by searing it on a pan or grilling it. If you like a little meat with your steak, ribeye usually has a little fat around the side, giving you some nice meaty fat bites if that is the flavor you prefer. Ribeye is thick and filling, so make sure you are hungry before you order this type of steak.

Strip Steak

If you want steak without breaking the budget, strip streak is usually the way to go. It is one of the more affordable cuts of red meat, and generally isn't as expensive as its counterparts, even when you purchase it in a restaurant. Strip steak is usually slicked really thin and often served with grilled vegetables to round out the meal. One caution is that strip steak can often get a little overcooked because it is cut so thin. This is not the type of steak you want to order if you want a juicy red steak; it is more the type of steak you order when you want something well done.

Opening A Successful Restaurant

Hello, my name is Deena. Welcome. I would like to share information about starting a new restaurant. When I was in my teen years, I worked at a restaurant that had just opened its doors to the public. The food was great and the service was superb, but something was missing. The owner had to look deep into the restaurant experience to find the problem that was preventing true success in this industry. I will talk about all of the areas that restaurant owners must perfect to make their vision a true success. Please feel free to visit my site anytime to learn more about opening a successful restaurant.
